Freeview Issues Reports Near Rhondda, Wales
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Rhondda and nearby locations:
Morgan Barber-Rogers #FBPE melt and centrist dad (@MeurigRogers) reported fromCardiff, Wales
@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasn’t shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.
Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported fromAberdare, Wales
@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper
Krys Cross! Cha Cha Real Smooth (@KAK_Tweets) reported fromTreorchy, Wales
@flickeringflxme I’ve never seen that one myself but somehow my granddad ended up buying it for himself which was made weirder by the fact he only had freeview so didn’t even have Disney Channel. He loved it though
George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported fromCardiff, Wales
And has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year
Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported fromTonyrefail, Wales
@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app
Ian Cleverly (@IanCleverly06) reported fromTrethomas, Wales
Just an FYI @DMAX_UK but you've just showed Series 3 Ep10 of #Archer, when the Freeview EPG (and your website) has you showing the correct in order Ep 9. It has the same down for the Sat midnight showing (ie Ep 10 is listed in you'll show Ep 9)

Sandra Russell (@SandraR76172345) reported
@virginmedia Still not working according to a service website I checked there are issues with tv reception in my area and may not be fixed until 17th, insulting really when I receive your letter telling me you are increasing your prices and has happened before so I’m now watching freeview
Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported
Fog! Temperature Inversion!Weird things may happen to your Freeview signal tonight and tomorrow. Don't retune!(Unless your hobby is DXing and you want to see if you can get some out-of-region/foreign services.)
Becky (@bexbrfc) reported
@grumpybrains BBC lancs on Freeview never has our match on and not sure I have an actual radio anymore so usually just watch scores coming in on BBC. Need a big performance after last week 👊
Richard M. (@MAT70X) reported
@JohnSpa60932494 What really pisses me off with Sky et al is I pay 2 1/2 times as much for their service as I do for the BBC & I still have to suffer adverts every 15 minutes...... If Freeview had 4 or 5 more worthwhile channels I'd bomb Sky off too!
Ben Johnson (@BenJohn45874515) reported
@Mark56623345 Apparently you can watch test transmissions on Freeview. Not sure how though as I've never had Freeview before.
Al (@PoppyDog08) reported
@a516digital @TalkingPicsTV announced they were moving on Freeview a few weeks back. The moral here is never put your channel numbers on your merchandise. My beanie hat will be out of date 😢
Justine J (@justine_j) reported
@FreeviewAdvice We suddenly lost our Freeview channels, we've tried rescanning but can only get 30ish channels. Can you help?
Onesmallstep (@Onesmallstep16) reported
@kennethtwist @PeterBoneUK Then don't pay if the BBC is a subscription service. There will be FREEview. The poorest in society would appreciate not be threatened with fines or prison for watching television.
And Beans (@BurleyNeo) reported
@PeterBoneUK @DefundBBC Would like a choice to pay for it or not as the BBC is not a critical service. Currently I pay it to watch other Freeview channels the BBC does not interest me but I have no choice. I have to pay them to watch channels that have adverts. Does not feel right at all.
